CCPPP and Pivotal180 join forces

CCPPP and Pivotal180 join forces to deliver new training for Canadian P3 market.

The Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships is working with Pivotal180, to craft and deliver P3 training for the Canadian marketplace.

Pivotal180 provides training in the fields of financial modeling, transaction structuring and investments for sustainable infrastructure. The Council and the company are also developing a training program specially designed for municipalities.

Training will be delivered on the Pivotal180 online learning platform. 

Project Finance and Infrastructure Financial Modeling (3-day course)

  • Participate via Zoom (livestreamed) over 8 3-hour sessions, 2 days per week for 4-5 weeks. An interactive webinar style where participants will build a model/complete case studies together with Pivotal trainers. Pivotal will record the sessions and make them available to course participants on the Pivotal learning platform.
  • $2,035 US ($2,600 CAD) public sector; $2,735 US ($3,500 CAD) for CCPPP private sector member; and $3,125 US ($4,000 CAD) for non-CCPPP private sector member. (Fees include 12 months of access to the Pivotal180 PFIM online course.)

PPPs for Municipalities (2-day course)

Understand the motivation of private sector participants and financial investors in project finance transactions.

  • Employ a common vocabulary to communicate about project finance with private sector participants and investors.
  • Navigate transaction documents with a nuanced understanding of form, structure, and legal language.
  • Engage in dialogue on key terms and conditions necessary for project contracts (including Project Agreements, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Agreements, and Operations and Maintenance Agreements).
  • Distil critical business terms and major risks into briefing materials for management and key decision makers.
  • Understand the inputs, outputs and overarching logic of a financial model for a project finance deal.
  • Understand the relationships between project finance fundamentals and auction design.
  • Critically evaluate current and/or proposed institutional arrangements for existing/future auction program.

Training option:

  • Offered on an “as requested” basis via Zoom (livestreamed) for 2.5-hour sessions, 2 days per week for 3 weeks.
  • $1,950 CAD public sector; $2,625 CAD private sector CCPPP member; $3,000 CAD non-CCPPP member. (Fees include 12 months of access to Pivotal180 PFIM online course).
