Date Centers New Online Course, a Free resource

We are busy, creating new sub-sector courses. One such course is on Data Centers.

The first (and free) version of this course will be released online this year. This course will include an overview of what data centers are, types of data centers, an overview of revenue structures, operating costs, and capital costs. We also discuss whether Data Centers are infrastructure or real estate.

This free version won’t include models, but if you have completed one of our project finance modeling courses, you will be in a good place to figure it out.

The free course will be available to everyone for a period of 2 months. During that time, we will produce some more detailed lessons and a financial model which will be included in the paid version of the course. The paid course will be an add-on to our project finance modeling courses. in a similar way to how our mining / critical minerals and battery courses are structured.

If you have ideas for topics, mini-courses, or anything else, please login to your learning platform and add your thoughts in the  Pivotal180 Alumni communities board.

New Advanced Project Finance Debt Modeling Live Stream

We’re excited to launch an expanded version of our Advanced Debt Course, offering deeper instruction, more hands-on modeling, and additional support.

The original course focused on complex project finance debt structures such as leverage constraints, sensitivities, and P50/P90/P99 sizing. The new format now goes further, covering:

  • Summarizing a loan term sheet
  • Sweep-style debt (e.g. Term Loan B, merchant battery debt)
  • Multi-tranche
  • Swaps, DSRAs/DSRFs, and reserve accounts
  • Advanced macros (solving multiple scenarios, data table macros, and how to speed up calculations)
  • Seasonality and mitigants
  • Junior debt and shareholder loans

Key Enhancements:

  • Longer format for more modeling, Q&A, and discussion
  • Practical exercises building into a cumulative model
  • Extra homework and feedback for ongoing support

We’re Hiring: Associate or Senior Associate
