Introduction to Project Finance Modeling

Introduction to Project Finance Modeling Course Content

This course is designed to provide participants with knowledge of the core concepts that impact investments and debt structuring for project finance transactions. The program focuses on explaining the most important topics and modeling techniques such that students understand the many moving parts of a deal and how all the pieces tie together. Course participants will build an annual transaction model and complete case studies in that model to evaluate a renewable energy project finance transaction.

The Intro to Project Finance course is designed for beginning modelers and individuals who may not build models every day but for whom an understanding of project finance models and concepts is critical to decision making. The course utilizes a model for a solar or wind project but covers a broad set of topics such that it is also suitable for those in other project finance sectors such as power or mining.
